Wipe with a Soft Cloth
After every wearGently wipe the surface with a dry, soft cloth. Removes dust and light marks. This step is especially important given how children wear their clothes.
Leather Conditioner
Once a monthApply a colourless, child-safe leather conditioner. It maintains the moisture balance, preventing cracking and dryness. A thin layer is enough — too much can leave marks.
Let It Breathe
After every wearStore leather in open air or a cloth bag — never in a plastic bag. Leather must breathe; in a sealed space moisture builds up and mould can form.
Off-Season Storage
Out of seasonStore in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use a cloth dust bag. Stuff jackets and vests to help them keep their shape.
Deep Clean
Apply monthly. Result — leather revived.
Preparation
Brush off any loose dust with a soft brush. For shoes, remove laces and stuff with paper.
Light Clean
Gently wipe with a cloth barely dampened with a small amount of leather cleaner or soapy water. Apply only to dirty areas.
Stain Treatment
For stubborn stains use a leather eraser or a cloth with a small amount of alcohol. Wipe in one direction, not circles. Avoid excessive rubbing.
Natural Drying
Never use a hair dryer or radiator. Dry at room temperature in the shade. Stuff to maintain shape.
Moisture Balance
Once fully dry, apply leather conditioner. This step restores the natural moisture lost during cleaning.
Final Check
Check zippers, buckles and stitching. Addressing small issues early extends the leather's life.
